Oh, the poor, pale moon. Beloved!
She paled when you left me here. Come back to us, to the moon and me. The moon understands us, dear. |

Date: 8-15 March 2022 Production: I scanned page 17 of Two in Arcadia, 1907 Brentanos, by Lucine Finch and redesigned each of the 6 color separations to facilitate printing and clarify the image. Using laserprints of each I coated blocks of unmounted linoleum [McClain's Printmaking Supplies] cut to size, with 10% mat gel medium / water and placed image face down. After drying thoroughly, I rubbed off the paper layer to preserve the carbon image. I cut each block and printed, one color per day until completed. $37.50 USD Shipping available USA $15.00 with tracking $750 MXN in the studio Page 17: 1907 overlay with 2024
I lightened the tint of the body of water to better suggest a lake or bay and lowered the position of the sailboat placed unrealistically too high on the horizon. To increase the contrast between foreground and mid-ground I darkened the foreground (perhaps too much). I increased the chroma of the distant mountain to better differentiate between sky and land and introduced some terrain to avoid the perception that the form is a cloud. |
